The Nets announced prior to Friday's tipoff that forward Cam Johnson and guard Ben Simmons were ruled out despite both playing and finishing Thursday's win. Granted, Simmons will be missing Friday's contest due to his lower back injury management program while Johnson is missing the game due to a right hip contusion that he most likely suffered from hitting the ground following his dunk on Bucks center Brook Lopez.

However, the number of injuries are piling up and it showed in the second and third quarters as the Spurs won the middle 24 minutes by a 63-40 margin. With that being said, here are three Nets takeaways from Friday's loss to the Spurs:

Cam Johnson kept it real on playing through trade and tanking speculation for the rebuilding Nets this season.

The Brooklyn Nets (12-18) had come into Thursday's game at the Milwaukee Bucks (16-13) hoping to end their losing streak before it got any worse with the implication that forward Dorian Finney-Smith would be making his return to the lineup.

The Nets lost to the Heat 110-95 after a second half that saw them get outscored by Miami 52-38 as the Nets weren't able to keep up with the Heat on the offensive end. Cam Johnson had 19 points and three rebounds while Noah Clowney had 19 points and five rebounds for one of his best games of the season.
