The pro-Trump channel Newsmax defamed Dominion Voting Systems by falsely accusing the company of rigging the 2020 presidential election, a Delaware judge ruled Wednesday.

Dominion is seeking $1.6 billion in damages which will be decided by a jury in a trial that will begin April 28 unless a settlement is reached.

A Delaware judge ruled that Newsmax ran defamatory and false statements about Dominion Voting Systems in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, as personalities and guests amplified claims that the company was involved in rigging the results.
