The FBI is looking into past visits to Egypt and Canada by the suspect in the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people after a truck was rammed into a crowd of revelers, an FBI official told reporters on Sunday.

The FBI released new video on Sunday of Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the suspect accused of killing 14 people during the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans. The agency also revealed that Jabbar visited the city twice in the weeks before the attack and recorded video of the area using Meta smart glasses.

This soundless compilation reveals video clips tied to the January 1, 2025, terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Footage includes Jabbar using Meta glasses in October 2024, recording himself cycling through the French Quarter and testing the glasses at his rental home.

The 37-year-old Green Beret, who the FBI says suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, had “no animosity” for Trump and wrote that the explosion was “not a terrorist attack.” However, Livelsberger did make clear that he was displeased with the state of the country.

A victim resource page and Family Assistance Center has been established by the FBI to produce support and resources to those impacted by the deadly attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
