Federal agents from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security raided the Providence, Rhode Island, office of prominent immigration attorney Joseph Molina Flynn on Thursday.

PROVIDENCE – Central Falls Municipal Court Judge Joseph Molina Flynn has resigned his position with that city following the FBI’s raid of his downtown Providence offices on Thursday morning.

PROVIDENCE — FBI agents on Thursday searched a downtown Providence office building that includes the office of a Rhode Island immigration lawyer. Joseph Molina Flynn, who was also Municipal Court judge for Central Falls, resigned from the bench after the search, Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera told the Globe.

Agents from the FBI stormed a building on Dorrance Street in downtown Providence Thursday morning. The area houses the offices of Joseph Molina Flynn, a Rhode Island and Massachusetts immigration attorney and Central Falls municipal court judge.

He is also an adjunct professor at Roger Williams Law School. Molina-Flynn did not respond to requests for comment.
