The Wolfpack failed to make the ACC tournament and dropped three of their last four games to close the regular season.

Kevin Keatts guided the NC State Wolfpack to an improbable ACC tournament title and four wins in the NCAAs a year ago, but was just 12-19 this season.

As has happened too often this season, NC State squandered a double-digit lead in the second half and lost to last-place Miami to close a disappointing men’s basketball season.

Kevin Keatts was dismissed Sunday as head coach at North Carolina State, a year after leading his team on a magical run to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. In a statement, athletic director Boo Corrigan said a national search for Keatts' successor would begin immediately.
