Defenseman Brock Faber scored a wraparound goal 35 seconds into overtime and the Minnesota Wild rallied from two goals down midway through the third period to beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Friday night.

DALLAS -- Brock Faber scored 35 seconds into overtime to give the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Friday. Faber took a pass from Matt Boldy in the high slot, faked a shot and went wide around Wyatt Johnston before looping around the net and scoring a wraparound to complete the comeback.

Brock Faber scored on a wraparound 35 seconds into overtime to lift the visiting Minnesota Wild to a 3-2 comeback victory over the Dallas Stars on Friday night.

But the Wild flipped the game in the third with two goals in a 57-second span — one by Jonas Brodin (his first since Nov. 19) and a Marcus Foligno redirection — to tie the game. And that’s when Brock Faber stole the show.

Due to the NHL’s strict prohibition of anything team related — including travel — during the three-day Christmas break, the Minnesota Wild got up early on Friday and flew to north Texas

The Stars (20-13-1) significantly outshot the Wild, 29-18, and got a couple past Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson, who made 27 saves overall on the 29 shots. Evgenii Dadonov scored 9 minutes, 52 seconds into the first period, and Wyatt Johnston made it a two-goal advantage with his goal 15 minutes, 8 seconds into the second period.
