The traditionally staid and formal official White House social media accounts have under the second Trump administration become a fertile ground for memes, images generated by artificial intelligence (AI) and other unorthodox ways to tweak opponents and promote the president’s agenda.

Of the 2 million accounts that have purchased the $TRUMP coin, 764,000 have lost money on it, according to data that blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis shared with CNBC. Most invested in smaller amounts of the token, the media outlet reported.

The team behind Trump’s meme coins has been aggressively trying to promote the chance to eat with the president.
