It was music to the ears of fans of the show and family, but there was some heartbreaking news that came out of the announcement, too. Per Deadline, Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family, won’t appear on the series after it was announced late last year that he is battling Alzheimer’s and other health issues.

Set to premiere this summer, the show will follow Willie and Korie Robertson, as well as their children and grandchildren, who live on a Louisiana homestead and operate their family business, Duck Commander. The original Duck Dynasty ran for 11 seasons, ending in 2017.

The revival series will premiere on A&E in summer 2025 Duck Dynasty is back! On Wednesday, Jan. 22, A&E confirmed that the beloved reality series would return to the network as Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
