Loading up HDR photos and videos can be a great way of showcasing the fancy display on your new phone and testing just how bright it can get. But sometimes, especially at night, you might not want your screen to crank into overdrive with blinding highlights just because someone posted a random video to Instagram in HDR.

One UI 7 brings a number of tweaks and changes to the system, and one of those is a new option to turn off “Super HDR” via the Settings app. Samsung describes this toggle saying: Automatically adjust the display to show the full range of colors and contrast in pictures taken with Galaxy devices.
