Iowa Hawkeyes football made a trip down to Nashville Monday for their second ever appearance in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl to face Missouri. The last time the Tigers and Hawkeyes battled it out was in the 2010 insight bowl where Iowa took the victory 27-24.

NASHVILLE — Nissan Stadium is the stage for the only College Football game played on Monday, hosting the Music City Bowl between the No. 19-ranked Missouri Tigers take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. It's the second matchup of the teams in the last century.

Doubters questioned the idea of bringing a college football bowl game to Nashville in the 1990s but the Music City Bowl has thrived for 26 years
