Squirrel White has announced he will be transferring to Florida State. He is the second Vols player to announce they will be a Seminole on Sunday.

Former Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White has committed to Florida State via the NCAA Transfer Portal per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. White initially entered the transfer portal on Dec. 27. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Florida State is adding a productive and explosive veteran wide receiver to the roster. On Sunday, Tennessee wide receiver transfer Squirrel White announced he was continuing his college career in Tallahassee.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee starting wide receiver Squirrel White is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by On3’s Pete Nakos. White became a fan favorite in Knoxville, hauling in 131 passes for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns in three seasons.

Squirrel White had 131 receptions in three seasons for Tennessee football. But his production dropped in 2024 as the passing attack grew stagnant.

Squirrel White is reportedly headed to the transfer portal after spending 4 seasons with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Florida State football looked for a speedy receiver and landed a squirrel from Knoxville. On Sunday evening, Squirrel White committed to the Seminoles, making him the 16th transfer in FSU's 2025 class.

Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles have been busy in the transfer portal this offseason but have yet to land any wide receivers. That has now changed, as a former SEC starting slot receiver pledged his services to Florida State today.
