Knowing what was at stake, the Belgian took steps to calm his nerves by meditating and taking an ice bath before each of his final two rounds at raucous TPC Scottsdale.

Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, and Daniel Berger all made charges at the PGA Tour’s wildest stop, but the 32-year-old Detry won in his 68th start.

Detry, in his 67th Tour start, finished at 24 under, topping Daniel Berger and Michael Kim by seven strokes for his maiden PGA Tour victory.
