The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a cold weather advisory for much of western and central New York for Tuesday morning. Wind chills are predicted to dip as low as 20 below zero in some higher elevations, said Weather Service Meteorologist Phillip Pandolfo.

BATAVIA — A winter weather advisory has been issued all of Western New York. The advisory will be in effect 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Monday, according other the National Weather Service in Buffalo. Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches may occur, along with ice accumulations about 3/10 of an inch.
