New York City collected $48.6 million in revenue from the first month of its congestion pricing program that the Trump administration has moved to kill, a transit agency said. U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Wednesday announced his agency will end New York City's congestion pricing enacted by the state.

Duffy did not give a time frame for trying to shut down congestion pricing, saying only that federal officials would contact the state to "discuss the orderly cessation of toll operations." MTA CEO Janno Lieber said tolling would "continue notwithstanding this baseless effort to snatch those benefits away."
