Throughout this polarizing election, one thing has been clear: there will be a peaceful transition of power. Former First Lady Jill Biden's outfit may have been an approval of that notion

This isn’t the first time Dr. Biden has incorporated unity into her wardrobe for a major political milestone. For President Biden’s inauguration in 2021, she selected a Markarian ocean blue tweed coat and dress, symbolizing trust and stability and a Gabriela Hearst evening gown embroidered with the state and territory flowers of the U.S.

Dressed in a Ralph Lauren coat, gloves and pumps in a vibrant shade of bipartisan violet — blending the blue linked with the Democratic party and the red associated with Republicans — Dr. Biden joined her husband, President Joe Biden, at Monday’s swearing-in, in keeping with political tradition.

"Whether it was her ivory Gabriela Hearst coat with the embroidery of the flowers of all the states and territories sending a message of unity, or the sunflower added to her Lapointe dress as a display of support for Ukraine," he continued.
