The DeSoto, Texas, native, who ranked as the No. 31 recruit in his class, started his career with the Texas Longhorns. He spent 1.5 seasons with the team and was unable to crack the rotation consistently. Cook left the team in early November of this season in a decision that head coach Steve Sarkisian deemed to be "mutual."
