YouTube has achieved a record share of the US streaming audience in December with 11.1% of TV watch time, according to The Gauge.

Streaming as a viewing category leveled up again in December, according to Nielsen’s monthly Gauge report, rising 9% over the previous month after a comparable gain in November. Collectively, streaming outlets accounted for 43.

NEW YORK —Heavy viewing during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in the November 25 to December 29 2024 period covered by the December report of Nielsen’s The Gauge, helped increase overall TV viewing by 4% compared to the November report. That also boosted YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video to record viewing levels.
