Over on TikTok, several videos have popped up from moms who are upset about the gifts that their children received from the Angel Tree program, with some complaining that their shopper bought things that weren’t on their list and some just mad that they didn’t get as much as they thought they should.

In a TikTok, Shay Jackson shows off the items she bought for her Angel Tree child, but some viewers are convinced she didn't do enough to fulfill her wishes.

Conversely, some Angel Tree recipients have shared disappointment with their gifts. One TikTok user, who later made her account private, described her haul as “frustrating,” noting that items like clothes didn’t match the requested sizes and other gifts, like Play-Doh and a basketball, weren’t on the list.

However, 40 angels' gifts have not been returned. If the angel gifts are not returned, donations from St. Nicholas of Myra and St. Mary's churches will provide gifts for the remaining children.

Angel Tree program season in November, The Salvation Army in Amarillo announced it would distribute the collected gifts to the parents and caregivers of more than 1,000 local children on Wednesday.
