ST. CHARLES — The city of St. Charles has lifted a boil advisory after determining the water is safe for consumption. Authorities on Tuesday issued the advisory for residents north of Interstate 70 and south of Highway 370 after a large water main break on Cole Boulevard.

A large portion of St. Charles is under a boil water advisory Tuesday morning after a water main break in the area.

The City of Saint Charles is working on a large water main break on Cole Boulevard Tuesday morning. The city says Saint Charles water customers north of I-70 and south of Highway 370 are under a boil water advisory because of a brief period of low water pressure.
