Tickets go on sale this week for the Indiana Fever’s exhibition contest against the Brazilian National Team at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on May 4.

Evelyn Bothmer, 99, was struck by an Iowa City Fire Department truck that was leaving the scene, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report. Bothmer, who was described as a pedestrian, died at the scene. The truck was driven by Brandon Pflanzer, who is also president of the union representing the department's firefighters.

The incident happened early Sunday morning when the Iowa City Fire Department was leaving a senior living facility after responding to a medical call.
