If Aaron Rodgers isn't going to quarterback the Pittsburgh Steelers to the playoffs, Kirk Cousins might as well try.

The only prudent move for the Steelers at this point is to move on from Rodgers and come up with another plan. Whether that is to commit to Mason Rudolph as the starter, draft a quarterback high and make it a competition, call the Atlanta Falcons about trading for Kirk Cousins or something else, the plans should no longer include Rodgers.

Rodgers said Thursday that he’s keeping his options open, including retirement, and he provided no timetable for making a decision.
