In North Texas, we should see things dry out fairly quickly. In the afternoon, showers will exit to the east and we might see some sun break through and temperatures climb into the 60s. Some showers could redevelop early in the evening.

The First Alert Weather Team has declared Saturday a First Alert Weather Day due to expected rain and storms, some of which could be strong to severe. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for most of North Texas,

One tornado swirled through fields near El Campo, Texas on Thursday, roughly midway between Houston and Victoria. Another twister touched down near Atascocita in Harris County, then moved over Lake Houston.
