India captain Rohit Sharma was not picked in the team of the tournament of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. A total of five Indians made it to the team captained by Mitchell Santner.

Mitchell Santner continued his great form through the Champions Trophy in the final while adding a couple of wickets to his tally and rallying his troops against India, who proved to be just too good.

"I think the way Rohit Sharma played kind of took it away from us," Santner said at the post-match press conference after India successfully chased down 252 in a tense finish on Sunday.
