Following a surprise defeat to Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi, Djokovic openly reflected on his uncertain path ahead, hinting that this might have been his final appearance at the Madrid event.

Novak Djokovic’s miserable start to the clay-court season continued with a second-round defeat to world No. 44 Matteo Arnaldi at the Madrid Open, in what he described as his “new reality” on the ATP Tour.

Novak Djokovic has had a lengthy career of dominance. He's won every significant title and has the most Grand Slams of all time.  But nothing lasts forever.  The Serbian suffered a 6-3, 6-4 loss to Matteo Arnaldi at the Madrid Open on Saturday.
