A 45-year-old man was listed in stable condition after being shot by an unknown assailant in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue on Christmas Eve.

BOSTON - Boston's dreams of a white Christmas have come true for 2024. The National Weather Service defines a "white Christmas" as having an inch or more of snow on the ground for Christmas morning. Meteorologist Candice Hrencecin at the National Weather Service's Norton office confirmed to WBZ-TV that Boston has met the criteria.

Some residents in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions woke up to a White Christmas Eve on Tuesday morning. Around 20 million people are under winter weather alerts across the regions, which received upwards of an inch of snow.

New Yorkers were treated to a white Christmas Eve as light snow fell across the city, but most of it will melt away by Wednesday morning, forecasters said.
