Prashant Kishor has begun a fast unto death demanding the cancellation of the recent BPSC exam and action against "corrupt officials" accused of selling posts.

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has on Thursday, 2 January 2025, begun a fast unto death to press his demand for the cancellation of an examination recently held by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

Suraaj founder also sought action against corrupt officials as claims abounded that posts were 'sold' & paper leaked in the recently-held exam.

Kishor, who has joined the protesters in recent days, has also alleged corruption in connection with government jobs in the state.

Indian politician Prashant Kishor, who claims to back the ongoing protest in Bihar by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) students, announced an indefinite fast on Thursday (Jan 2). The Jan Suraaj Party's founder and chief said in a statement,

Election strategist-turned political leader Prashant Kishor has started an indefinite fast, backing the students of Bihar in their demand for a re-test of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination after allegations of paper leak.

Prashant Kishor on Monday had said that he would wait for "48 hours" and if no action is taken then he would intensify the protests.

Kishor has put forward five demands, which include a high-level probe into alleged irregularities in conducting the BPSC exams and unemployment wages for those between 18 and 35 age bracket.
