Belgium's food safety agency issued a warning to residents to not turn their Christmas trees into food after a city's recycling recommendations included using the needles in recipes.

The small, tight-knit Altadena community in northeast Los Angeles is reeling from the effects of the still-blazing Eaton Fire. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire has spread to more than 10,000 acres with no containment and continues to consume countless homes and historic spaces.
