DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran and the United States began a fourth round of negotiations Sunday over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program, officials said, just ahead of a visit by President Donald Trump to the Middle East this week.

Suspected Islamist militants attacked a Nigerian army base and captured soldiers and ammunition during a raid in the insurgency-hit northeastern Borno state in the early hours of Monday, two security sources told Reuters.

The United States and Iran completed the fourth round of their negotiations in Muscat, Oman, on Sunday over Tehran’s advancing nuclear programme, with both sides agreeing to reconvene at a later date. The talks, held amid growing regional tensions and ahead of President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East, lasted approximately three hours.
