Xander Bogaerts homered and knocked in three runs as the San Diego Padres snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-4 win over the visiting San Francisco Giants on Tuesday.

The Padres got off to a good start Tuesday night against one of the teams that recently supplanted them atop the National League West standings. A three-run first inning launched them to a 7-4 victory over the Giants that ended a losing streak at four games.
