A pedestrian, who was struck Friday night by someone driving a stolen vehicle on a Lowell sidewalk, has since died from his injuries.

Gregory Leschishin was walking on Rogers Street in Lowell on Friday night when prosecutors say 30-year-old Christopher Campbell drove a stolen car onto the sidewalk, striking the older man. At Campbell’s arraignment on Monday, a prosecutor said Leschishin was “unlikely to survive.”

Authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian and dump truck accident around noon. At the Central Street and Sunapee Street intersection, authorities found an injured pedestrian. He was taken to the hospital, but died from his injuries. This pedestrian’s identity has not been made public.
