Philadelphia police said 30-year-old Qidere Johnson, who went by the stage name LGP QUA, was shot near M and East Luzerne streets on May 11.

Rapper LGP Qua was shot and killed Sunday at the age of 30. The Philadelphia musician, born Qidere Johnson, died after being shot during a robbery attempt in the city’s Juniata Park neighborhood just before 5 p.m. on Mother’s Day, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
