Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated The Odyssey will be filmed in stunning natural locations across Morocco, the UK, and Italy from January to April 2025, according to Production Weekly. The film,

“ Christopher Nolan ’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” said the studio. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.”

After Oppenheimer shook the world with its mind-bending narrative, Christopher Nolan is now poised to chart entirely new waters with The Odyssey.

Nolan is also behind epic films including “Inception,” “The Dark Knight,” “Dunkirk” and his most recent film “Oppenheimer,” which scored big at last year’s Oscars when it took home the trophy for best picture. Nolan won that award as a producer, and also took home the Academy Award for best director.
